The Chautauqua Chamber Singers will present their Twelfth Night concert entitled ‘What Sweeter Music’ at 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, at First Lutheran Church in Warren, and at 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, at First Presbyterian Church of Jamestown, N.Y. “Twelfth Night historically marks the end of the 12 days of Christmas on Jan. 6, which is the feast of the Epiphany,” according to a release from the CCS. “In this Jamestown tradition, the costumed Chautauqua Chamber Singers (under the direction of Rebecca Ryan and accompanied by Charles Johnson) processing in candlelight, with a bagpipe prelude, supported by traditional readings, will perform stunning choral music both new and old.” “This concert has become for many a traditional ending of the Christmas season,” according to the release. Pieces that will be part of the performance include: Once in a Royal David City, Adestes Fideles, A Carol, and Masters in this Hall. There is no charge to attend the concerts.
