The Warren County Sheriff’s Office has received a complaint from a county resident that was contacted by a person identifying themselves as being from the U.S. Treasury Department.
The alleged party attempted to gain personal information from the county recipient and told them that the Sheriff’s Officer would send a person to their home to arrest them on a warrant if the information was not given.
This call is a scam. Anyone receiving a call asking for personal information is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at (814) 723-7553, or your local police department.
