Forest County Treatment Court graduation
A Forest County Regional Treatment Court graduation ceremony will be held at Forest County Courthouse at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 27. This proceeding is open to the public and light refreshments will be provided.
The Forest County Regional Treatment Court Program has been in operation since May 2017 and presently has seven participants. The mission of the program is to rehabilitate individuals to become productive members of the community through clean and sober living. This program enhances public safety, decreases substance abuse, reunites families, reduces recidivism and ultimately saves tax dollars. It is a comprehensive program which is evidence-based and includes mandatory drug testing, involvement with the 12-step program, community service, and court reviews every other week. Participants must complete four phases of a 14-month (or more) program to graduate, and are encouraged to participate in on-going recovery support after graduation.
