Does your child need school supplies?
If so, and if you meet certain eligibility guidelines, he or she may be able to get them through the seasonal school supplies program at the Salvation Army in Warren.
Signups for the school supplies program began on July 25 and run through next Friday, Aug. 10. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. anyone looking for help getting geared up for the new school year can visit the Salvation Army at 311 Beech Street to get on the list.
In order to sign up parents will need to bring along their identification, the child’s medical assistance card, or any other proof that the child being signed up lives with them, and proof of income and expenses.
The program is open to area students grades kindergarten through 12th. Students will receive a backpack, pens and pencils, notebooks, crayons, and more said Warren’s Salvation Army Captain Keith Jache.
School supplies will be distributed on Friday, August 17, from 1 to 3 p.m.
