Photos submitted for publication Seniors age 55 and over enjoyed a picnic and games on Wednesday, June 13th, at Betts Park in Warren. This event is held annually and is a fun-filled day of games, food and entertainment for people to come out and enjoy the each other’s company and be engaged in healthy activities. Experience, Inc.’s Allegheny Community Center in Warren coordinates the activities with the help of the Warren/Forest Eldercare Council. Above, is Jake Taylor.

Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens trip

A few seats remain on the June 26 bus to the Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens. The trip is sponsored by the Warren Garden Club, leaving at 7 a.m. from the Tops parking lot by the tall gasoline sign, and the price is $55, which includes bus and ticket. Newton Dinner Club

The Newton Dinner Club will meet at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, June 21, at Coal Oil Johnny’s in Pleasantville. Attendees are asked to bring a donation for the food bank.

Classes to lunch

The Warren Area High School class of 1964 will meet for lunch on June 21 at Blueberry Golf Club at noon. All members of the class and their spouses or significant others are welcome.

The Warren High School class of 1956 will meet for lunch on Tuesday, July 19 at Cable Hollow Golf Club at 1 p.m.

Municipal pool events

The City of Warren’s municipal pool will host a series of events the week of June 18-23. On Thursday, June 21 the pool will host movie night, with showing of Disney’s Moana from 6 to 10 p.m. Every day from 5 to 6 p.m. the pool will host Everyone Swims, the free swim lesson program. Heroes support group

The Heroes support group for families of special needs children will meet Thursday, June 28 at 6 p.m. at the Jefferson Room of the Jefferson Defrees Family Center. The child-friendly meeting will offer activities for children. Speakers will be Kathy Goodwill and Rose Ashbaugh, speech and language pathologists, with tips on how parents can build their child’s speech and language skills using fun and easy activities. Parkinson disease support group

The Warren Parkinson Disease Support Group will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 3 at CTI Physical Therapy, 2265 Market Street, Warren Pa. Individuals with Parkinson Disease and their families are invited to attend. For more information, please call Shirlee at (814) 563-9493.

Cancer support meeting

The Warren Woman’s Cancer Support Group will be meeting Thursday June 21 at 6:00pm at the pavilion by the river next to the hospital or at Warren Cancer Center if it is raining. Committee to meet

The Reunion Committee of the Warren High School Class of 1953 will meet for lunch on Thursday, June 21, at the Train Station at 11:45. A meeting will follow at the Emergycare Building.
