Photo submitted for publication Farrah Grotto of Warren held its annual steak party and was able to donate $1,000 to AMBUCS of Chautauqua. The Farrah Grotto has been fortunate enough to purchase several bicycles. AMBUCS is a organization that provides bicycles to handicapped children. The bicycles are made to specifically fit the child in need. Farrah Grotto is a local organization that raises money to support its local community and assist handicapped children. Cystic Fibrosis fundraiser

A fun walk and bike ride will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 2, at Youngsville Elementary Middle School to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

The event is hosted by the family of Logan McDonald, a seventh grader at Youngsville Middle School, who has cystic fibrosis.

“There are approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis,” according to a release about the event. “They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, friends, and co-workers who struggle every day just to breathe. We walk for them.”

DUI Task Force

The Warren County DUI Task Force will have roving patrols, possible check-points, and will be targetting impaired drivers over the Memorial Day weekend.

Memorial Day services

Grand Valley — services will be held at 1 p.m. at Sanford Cemetery.

Ludlow — services will be held at 11:30 a.m. at Gibbs Hill Cemetery, featuring the American Legion Western Section Membership Chairman Matt Windsor as speaker, and Sheffield and Clarendon VFW Honor Guard. Service will be held at Ludlow Fire Hall in case of rain.

Pine Grove — services will be held at 10 a.m. at Pine Grove Cemetery, featuring the Eisenhower Knights Band. Service will be held at Praise Fellowship Church in case of rain.

Tidioute VFW news

The Memorial Day Parade will be held Monday May 28.

The parade will leave the VFW at 10 a.m.

Parade route:

Main Street-up Scott Street-Cross onto Second Street and enter the cemetery.

A luncheon will follow for members and their guests.

Doors will open after our men and women in uniform have returned from the parade and are given a few minutes to collect themselves.
