The Zonta Club of Warren held its annual fundraiser, Lucky Numbers Luncheon, on Saturday, March 3, at the Conewango Club.

This was the 20th Anniversary for Lucky Numbers. More than 200 women attended the sold-out luncheon while participating in hundreds of raffles throughout the afternoon. According to Lucky Numbers chair, Jean Denardi, the event was very successful, not only for the funds to support the goals of Zonta but also for the fellowship of members and guests.

This event generates funds to support our local and international programs. Zonta International is a leading global organization of professionals empowering women worldwide through service and advocacy. The Zonta Club of Warren supports many local organizations annually, and also distributes scholarships and community grants. This year’s community grant recipients were announced at the luncheon. They are House of Hope and the Women’s Care Center of Warren. Both organizations will receive a Community Grant of $1,000.

Erica Hodgdon, Program Director for House of Hope, thanked Zonta for the funds. The money is earmarked for carpet cleaning and workshop materials and software for the women.

Charity Seymour, Community Outreach Coordinator of Women’s Care Center, accepted the grant with thanks. The funds will be used for a new printer for their office.
