Pasta dinner

Bethel Baptist Christian Academy, 200 Hunt Road, Jamestown, N.Y., will hold a pasta dinner from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, April 27, followed by a basket auction. Reservations may be made by calling (716) 484-7420.

Bridge results

Bridge play results at the Allegheny Community Center on Tuesday have Donna Hickey placing first and Mary Schorman second. Thursday afternoon at the Woman’s Club, Tana Fegely finished first and Susan Swab was second. Peggy Morgan and Connie Lucia finished first and second Thursday evening at the Warren Library.

Alzheimer’s Association program

A program entitled “Effective Communication Strategies” will be presented at the Warren-Forest Higher Ed Council Office on Wednesday, March 21 at 6 p.m. This program is free. Jill Curtis, Education and Outreach Coordinator of the Greater PA Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association in Erie, will be the presenter. This program explores how communication takes place when someone has Alzheimer’s Disease and will help the attendees with the following:

— Explaining the communication changes that take place throughout the course of the disease.

— Decode the verbal and behavioral messages delivered by someone with dementia and respond in ways that are helpful to the person.

— Identify strategies to connect and communicate at each stage of the disease.

The program includes a video interviewing professionals who explain critical aspects of communication through the Alzheimer’s journey and caregivers who share tips that have worked for their families. The program is open to the general public, all caregivers and health care workers, and support groups. There is no charge for the program, but participants should register with the Warren-Forest Higher Ed council office at 723-3222. Class lunches

The Warren High School class of 1954 will meet for lunch at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, March 22, at Pizza Hut. Those interested in making reservations are asked to call 723-3655.

The Warren Area High School class of 1964 will meet for lunch on Wednesday, March 21 at the Conewango Club in Warren at noon. All members of the class and their spouses or significant others are welcome.

The Warren High School class of 1956 will meet for lunch at Bob Evans on Tuesday, March 20 at 1 p.m.

Bon Ton Lunch Group

The Bon Ton lunch group will meet at the Variety Buffet in North Warren on Wednesday, March 21, at 12:30 p.m.

Easter Dinner

The public is welcome to share Easter dinner at Sait Francis Church, 343 East Main Street in Youngsville at noon on Easter Sunday, April 1. It will be a family style Easter dinner. Feel free to drop in for food and fun. Morning mass will be held at 8:30 a.m. All are welcome.
