Willy Wonka auditions to be held Sunday, Monday

Auditions for the Warren Players production of Willy Wonka at Struthers Library Theatre will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 25, and from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 26.

“Have you ever wanted to be an Oompa Loompa? Or maybe your dream is to play the insanely clever Willy Wonka? Or perhaps you have always envisioned yourself as Charlie Bucket, the good-hearted young man whose fortunes are changed by a golden ticket and a trip to the Willy Wonka Chocolate Factory.”

The production will be presented May 3 through 6.

There are roles for ages five through grandparent, including five lead youth roles for ages nine to 15, singing roles, non-speaking parts, chorus roles, soloists, and leads, according to Artistic Director Chuck Gray.

Audition forms are available Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the theater office or online at www.warrenplayers.com.

Those interested in auditioning are asked to complete the form and bring it to tryouts on the fourth floor of the theater.

Tryouts will include singing — Pure Imagination; Cheer Up, Charlie; Think Positive; or I Want It Now — and a monologue. Four monologue options are included on the audition form.
