Warren County Historical Society Treasurer Ron Bosworth has announced the award of a $4,000 grant from the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission. This award is a 2017-18 general operating support grant and an essential tool in maintaining the daily operations of the Warren County Historical Society at 210 Fourth Avenue, Warren. In order to qualify for this grant, the historical society must be certified by the county as the official county historical society. This general operating support grant will allow the Warren County Historical Society to maintain 40 hours per week for public access, as well as providing educational tours at the headquarters office, architectural tours within the Warren Historic District, local history lectures, and special events of interest to the Warren County community. The board of directors and staff of the Warren County Historical Society appreciate the support of the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission and the Warren County Commissioners.
