Praise Fellowship Church will be hosting a Marriage Retreat from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28.

The Retreat is entitled, “Marriage: It’s All About the ‘S’ Word,” and will feature Pastors Chris and Carol Ball.

Chris Ball is presently serving as President of Elim Fellowship and Carol Ball is Elim Fellowship’s Director of Women’s Ministries.

Chris and Carol have five different marriage seminars they teach, but the most requested one is “Marriage: It’s All About the ‘S’ Word.”

In this seminar, there are three separate teaching sessions. The first one is “Marriage is all about Sacredness.” This session will answer the questions, why are we married? And why should we stay married? Session number 2 is “Marriage is all about Sensitivity.” This session will answer the questions about the difference between men and women. Pastor Carol will address topics such as communication, values, and love languages. The final session is, “Marriage is all about Sheet Music.” Chris borrowed this title from a book by Kevin Leman which addresses the issue of sexuality. In his humorous way, Pastor Chris addresses questions that uncover the secrets of healthy intimacy.

Chris and Carol Ball have been married since 1987 and have three grown children who are all serving in ministry today. They both met at and graduated from Elim Bible Institute and College in Lima, N.Y. Pastors Chris and Carol are well sought after speakers for marriage seminars and retreats and they have counseled hundreds of couples.

This one-day seminar can benefit all married couples. It is not a seminar that is only geared for those who are struggling in their marriage, but also to those who want to put a spark in their marriage.

To learn more about the seminar or reserve your spot, contact Praise Fellowship at (814) 757-5758. Praise Fellowship Church is located at 7451 Market Street, Russell. The Retreat is $5 per person and open to the public.
