Photo submitted to Times Observer Warren Council 964 of the Knights of Columbus presented a $500 check in support of the St. Joseph Church Soup Kitchen. The kitchen provides meals every Tuesday starting at 4:30 p.m. to approximately 75 to 100 people. Festival of the Arts

The Warren Festival of the Arts will present “Time After Time” at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 4, at the Struthers Library Theatre.

Warren Public Library Writer’s Group

Do you have a story yearning to be written and published? Are you looking for a group of like-minded individuals on the journey of writing? If so, you’re invited to join the Warren Writers Group at the Warren Public Library on Thursday, July 13. Stephanie Ava, the coordinator for this group, will discuss the “Author’s Platform.”Participants will cover what it is, how to build it, which parts are essential and which are optional, maintaining and growing an Author’s Platform, and whether or not to blog as an author.

This group meets the second Thursday of each month, from 6 to 8 p.m. Group coordinator is Amazon-published author Ava Louise. For further information, email Stephanie (Ava) at WarrenWritersGroup@gmail.com. Call the library at 723-4650 to register or drop in on July 13.

Fair camping

The Warren County Fairgrounds in Pittsfield is offering camping through the 4th of July holiday week, June 30 to July 8. Celebrating its fifth season of holiday camping, the Fair is offering a special, stay all nine nights for $150, stay four nights for $75, or $25 per single night.

There are several campsites to choose from. There are water and electric hookups, restrooms with showers and a dumping station. This is just one of the fundraisers the Fair will be having during the year. For reservations or information call Sue at (814) 730-2890.

Polka Sunday

The Slovenian Polka Boosters will be dancing from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, June 25, at the Eagles at Ridgway, with the Dick Tady Orchestra, of Harwick, Pa., performing. There will be music for all types of dancing and the public is invited, For information, call Paul Leofsky at 563-7516.
