Christian Women meet
In spite of the rainy day, the recent Warren Christian Women’s April luncheon was full of enthusiasm. The resource table displayed the thoughts of Easter, love, and peace. The prayer favors were colored eggs filled with sweet treats with the name of a guest to pray for.
Speaker Rosie Domes of Attica, N.Y., told of her “Dreams to Reality.” She told of being a little red-headed girl with a “red-head “ temper. She went to church with her family. When she grew up, she met and married Doug.
One day she was invited to a special luncheon (a Christian Women’s luncheon), where she learned that God, the Father, provided a way for her sins to be forgiven by asking Jesus to be in her life. Rosie discovered when you receive Jesus as your Friend, you receive the Holy Spirit, who guides you to understand the Bible. The Bible studies show us a personal relationship with Jesus and God through the Holy Spirit.
Rosie said: “Life is full of heartaches but God is always with us. He never leaves us nor forsakes us as told in the Bible”. Rosie explained: “Heaven is Paradise, so we have a choice: dream or reality, belief or unbelief, regret or accept, Heaven or Hell.”
Doug sang: “I was Taken, He was the Giver” – a song about everyone in relationship to God. Rosie said: “Everyone has a purpose in life through Faith.
Belief in God makes an extraordinary difference in your life. This is the Easter message.”
Leanna Ashe presented the special feature on the Religious Education program in Warren held during school hours with parents permission.
This includes all elementary schools of Sheffield, Youngsville, Eisenhower, and Warren.
Music was provided by Richard Geer of Warren. He played the guitar as he sang “Puff the Magic Dragon” and “It is So Sweet to Trust in Jesus.”
