Caregivers class

The six-week Powerful Tools for Caregivers class will be offered at Warren Manor starting Wednesday, March 8. The class, offered through LECOM Health, Lifeworks Erie, is taught by two program leaders and will help caregivers remember to take care of themselves. “Too often, caregivers neglect their own health and well being, and put their own needs second,” according to information about the course. “This often results in caregivers becoming burned out, depressed, or physically ill themselves.” The course will help caregivers with the following: reducing personal stress; communicating feelings and needs; setting limits and asking for help; dealing with emotions; how to make tough decisions; and dealing with difficult situations. The class meets for 1.5 hours each week, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. There is no cost for the program. Those interested may register by calling Katie Walker at (814) 723-7060.

Godspell will be produced on the stage of the Historic Struthers Library Theatre May 4-6 at 7 p.m. and May 7 at 2 p.m. Godspell is under the direction of Randy J. Baughman, Musical Direction by Julie Baughman, Choreography by Sue Spencer, Production Management by Joy Crandall. There are no audition prerequisites.
