Remember to call ACC at 723-4180 by 11:00 a.m. 2 DAYS IN ADVANCE to make your noon lunch reservations.  A monthly meal calendar can be picked up at the center and meals can be reserved well in advance, just not less than 2 days in advance.  The suggested reserved-meal donation for all those 60 and over is $3.  All meals are well balanced and planned to provide maximum nutritional benefits.

The next AARP Smart Driver Full (8-hour) course is on Monday & Tuesday, January 23 & 24, 2017,  from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at ACC, 42 Clark Street.   Completion of the Smart Driver full course   qualifies you for a discount on your auto insurance for 3 years.  At that time, a 4-hour Refresher course can be completed qualifying you for the following 3 years.  Multiple drivers on an insurance plan may be required to complete these courses.  If it has been more than 3 years or you’ve never taken the course, you must take the Full 8-hour course.  Check with your insurance agent to be sure!  Instructor is Charles Merroth.  You can enroll now at 723-3237.

ACC is open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.  ACC is closed on legal holidays and on those days when Warren County schools are closed unexpectedly due to bad weather.

The Warren-Forest Area Agency on Aging will serve the following lunch menu at various locations:  Allegheny Community Center in Warren, 01/16 thru 01/20:  Monday, center closed in observance of Martin Luther King’s birthday; Tuesday, stuffed pepper cup w/tomato sauce, whipped potatoes, yellow beans, diced pears; Wednesday, chef salad w/ham, turkey, egg & cheese, mixed greens w/tomato, croutons, carrots, cucumbers, noodle soup w/crackers, sliced peaches; Thursday, Italian meatball hoagie w/sauce & cheese, seasoned new potatoes, mixed bean medley, tapioca pudding; Friday, creamy Parmesan garlic chicken w/cream sauce, penne pasta, Italian vegetable medley, garlic bread stick, warm cinnamon applesauce: Marienville:  Mon., Wed., & Thurs. meals from the ACC lunch schedule;  Endeavor:  Tues., Wed., & Friday meals from the ACC lunch schedule; Tidioute:  Mon., Tuesday & Thurs. meals from the ACC lunch schedule; Sheffield: Mon., Thurs., & Fri. meals from the ACC lunch schedule.

Eligible participation is 60 years and older with a suggested meal donation of $3.  Call AAA at 723-3763 for info about congregate meal sites or center locations.  Menu is subject to change if necessary.
