National Merit Scholarship

Warren Area High School senior Olivia Ashbaugh has been recognized as a National Merit Scholarship Program commended student and received a letter of commendation from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. Students who score within in the top five percent on the 2015 PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (NMSQT) are commended. “The young men and women being named Commended Students have demonstrated outstanding potential for academic success,” according to a NMSC press release. “Recognizing their accomplishments, as well as the key role their schools play in their academic development, is vital to the advancement of educational excellence in our nation.” From left are WAHS Principal Jeff Flickner, Ashbaugh, and Guidance Counselor Betsy Sobkowski.
