Art of Marriage conference Feb. 27

The Art of Marriage Video Conference will be happening in the Warren area on February 27 at the Praise Fellowship Church, 7451 Market Street, Russell. Created by FamlyLife, this six-session video event weaves engaging stories, real life testimonies, man on the street interviews and humorous vignettes, with teaching from influential pastors and marriage experts to show God’s path to a lasting marriage. Rick Rohlin, head pastor at Praise Fellowship in Russell, explained, “This event is for everyone who wants a better marriage. Too often people get married in this world with no roadmap or foundation to look to when times become difficult. The Art of Marriage provides solid, proven methods, relying on God’s word, to strengthen and grow your marriage.

“But the Art of Marriage is not just for couples who may be struggling,” he said. “It is also aimed directly at those marriages which are strong and vibrant. The Art of Marriage will show you how to add even more fun, passion, commitment and intimacy to your marriage. This is not traditional religious teaching or marital counseling. This is about giving people insight in how to have the marriage they always dreamed about.”

Topics to be covered include the purpose of marriage, avoiding isolation, communication, conflict, romance and intimacy and leaving a legacy.

The conference will run Saturday February 27 from a.m. to 5 p.m.

The event is $20 per person which includes a continental breakfast and light lunch. Childcare will also be provided. You can register by calling Borger & Horsley at (814) 723-5030 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday and 8:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday. The deadline to register is February 10.
