Katie Sekelsky and Matt Bennardo were married on Oct. 5, 2013. at St. John Gualbert Cathedral in Johnstown. The ceremony was presided over by the Rev. Fr. James Crookston.

The bride is the daughter of Tom and Shari Sekelsky of Warren. The groom is the son of Ed and Joanne Bennardo of Novelty, Ohio.

The bride and groom were escorted down the aisle by their parents. The wedding party included matron of honor Samantha Carmichael, cousin of the bride, and co-best men John Bennardo and Kevin Bennardo, brothers of the groom. Katie and Emily Bennardo, nieces of the groom, were flower girls.

Following the ceremony, a taco bar lunch reception was held at the Heritage Discovery Center. After lunch, the party moved to Richland Lanes for bowling. The bride bowled a 144.

The bride is a 2008 graduate of York College of Pennsylvania and is now a senior graphic designer at Prime Design Solutions, Inc. The groom is a 2002 graduate of Case Western Reserve University and currently works in marketing for Wolters Kluwer.

The couple honeymooned in Vancouver and Seattle. They reside in Streetsboro, Ohio.
