Former Warren resident earns teaching award

On Thursday, May 3, the 29th Annual Clarksville Education Association (CMCEA) honored the Distinguished Educators for the 2018-2019 school year.

Abigail (Mack) Swartzfager, a fourth-grade, STEM Math teacher, received her second consecutive Green Apple Teacher of the Year award at Moore Magnet Elementary School. The Green Apple Award goes to instructors who have been in the classroom for 0-4 years and excel in their field.

She is a 2017 graduate of Edinboro University and a student at Austin Peay State University (APSU) working on her Masters in Instructional Technology C&I.

She and her husband Benjamin Swartzfager reside in Clarksville, Ten.
