‘Tis the season for tax forms, assistance
As tax season is ongoing, it’s important to know where you can find local help for your taxes.
The Warren Public Library is a place to start.
Located in the Reference Department on the second floor of the library is a location to obtain tax forms and information. The library can provide printed Federal form packets and instructions for the 1040. It also has a small supply of state instructions and forms provided by the regional IRS office in Erie.
Thanks to a generous donation, the library will print out PA tax forms free of charge to patrons. Furthermore, they have a copy of PA instructions for reference.
The library can also print out local tax forms if you have not received them already by mail.
The Allegheny Community Center in Warren would like to remind the residents of Warren and Forest counties that IRS-trained volunteers are available to help free of charge. People qualifying for this free tax assistance meet the criteria of being low-income, disabled, or elderly.
The IRS-trained volunteers can help qualifying people fill out and file, at no cost, their Federal, State, and Local tax forms as well as their PA Rent & Property Tax Rebates.
