Giambrone named corporate VP, mortgage lending at NW
Michael A. Giambrone has been named corporate vice president and wholesale lending manager of Northwest Bank’s Mortgage Lending Department. Bill Tarpenning, senior vice president, Mortgage Lending, made the announcement.
In his role, Giambrone manages Northwest’s mortgage broker and correspondent business relationships, is responsible for new business development and will oversee the bank’s broker portal. He also manages the wholesale underwriting department and the closing department for all real estate secured consumer loans originated through the virtual mortgage, equity, and wholesale lending channels.
Giambrone joined Northwest in 1994 as a management trainee. He’s since held a number of positions throughout the bank, including manager of the Northwest office located at 301 Second Avenue in Warren, mortgage banking manager, and retail lending production manager.
A graduate of the State University of New York at Fredonia, Giambrone earned his bachelor’s degree in economics and finance and is an honors graduate of the Pennsylvania Bankers Association Central Atlantic Advanced School of Banking at Bucknell University. He’s also a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association of Southwestern PA.
Giambrone serves his community as chairman of the Finance and Stewardship Committee at the First United Methodist Church of Warren and an active member of the Church Council and Endowment Committee.
Giambrone lives in Russell with his wife, Deborah, and their children Nicholas and Michaela.
