Olson brought on as new classified representative

There’s a new face just inside the front door at the Times Observer.

Catherine ‘Cat’ Olson is now the newspaper’s classified representative and, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., is likely to be the first person a visitor will see.

Olson started last week and is up to speed. “If people want an ad in the paper, I can help them,” she said. “I’m happy to work with people.”

“We’re excited to have a new face offering friendly customer service on our front line — in our classified department,” Advertising Director Stacy Hathaway said.

Olson can be reached by calling 723-8200 ext. 600 or via email at classified@timesobserver.com.

She will also be answering the main phone line and directing calls and visitors who are looking for people in other departments.

Olson, of Jamestown, is not completely familiar with the Warren County geography, yet, but she enjoys the part of it she sees daily on her commute.

“Warren is really pretty,” she said. “I like all the old buildings.”

Working at the Times Observer fits Olson’s background in writing.

“I’m happy to be working at a newspaper,” she said.
