Warren General transitions ownership of dental services to Primary Health Network

Warren General Hospital has announced that a large community health center will assume ownership of the Hospital’s two dental practices. Crescent Park Dental, located within the hospital at 2 West Crescent Park, Entrance C, and Tidioute Dental of 115 Main Street, Tidioute, will be operated by Primary Health Network (PHN).

The transition occurred June 1.

“Warren General Hospital is excited to endorse the transition of dental care to the Warren community through Primary Health Network,” Rick Allen, CEO of Warren General Hospital said. “PHN will operate the dental care of both the hospital-based dental clinic and the Tidioute dental clinic. The transition will be seamless and continue to provide outstanding dental care to all ages moving forward with the existing staff and dentists. Please join me in welcoming the Primary Health Network Dental Care to our community.”

The Primary Health Network began as one community health center site in 1984 and has since grown to become the largest Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Pennsylvania, as well as one of the largest in the nation. PHN has over 50 sites in 16 counties throughout Pennsylvania and Ohio. Each year, they reach over 118,000 patients through health, educational, and enabling services. Their mission is to provide quality primary care services and access to specialty care commensurate with the needs of the people in the communities they serve. Services are offered regardless of age, race, creed, gender, national origin or ability to pay. Therefore, PHN is able to accept most insurances, welcome those under Medicare and Medicaid insurance plans, and offer a sliding fee pay scale to those who qualify. Last year alone, Primary Health Network served over 4,000 patients in Warren County.

Drew Pierce, Chief Executive Officer of Primary Health Network, said, “We are grateful to Warren General Hospital for being so instrumental in this expansion for Primary Health Network. Though PHN’s footprint is large, we are centered to our mission, which is to provide the highest quality of care to our patients. We are confident in the success of this venture and look forward to serving Warren County on a larger scale.”

The practices will operate under new names, which will be Warren Dental Center and Tidioute Dental Center.

Please note that both of the site’s phone numbers have also changed to: Warren Dental Center at (814) 723-2333, and Tidioute Dental Center at (814) 484-7400.
