Rouse Estate offering new approach to senior living with Rouse Care Cottages

To meet the growing demands of area seniors, the Rouse Estate is offering a new approach to senior living, the Rouse Care Cottages. The Rouse Care Cottages are an alternative to living in a Skilled Nursing Facility or Personal Care Home offering “one-on-one,” person-centered care in a residential setting.

The cottages will house a maximum of three residents who will receive twenty-four-hour care seven days a week. Nurse aides will provide care along with support from an RN employed by the Rouse Estate. Rouse services are arranged to meet their day to day needs such as personal care, cooking, medication reminders, assistance with appointments and community events. The Cottages are furnished, private homes that are beautifully decorated with plenty of room for the residents to visit with one another, with family, or to have their own privacy.

“We are very excited to offer this wonderful alternative to traditional waiver services for seniors in Warren County. This provides another option for services that have been offered in a nursing home and is a very affordable option that waiver funding can be used for. Services are also open to individuals on a private pay basis,” says Jasen Diley, CEO of the Rouse Estate.

The following services may be included: assistance with bathing, dressing, ambulation, exercise, meal preparation, laundry, housekeeping, medication reminders, social outings, transportation to medical appointments and more. Residents may also participate in daily crafts, games, movies, bird watching, gardening, or simply kicking back to relax and enjoy the peaceful setting.

The Rouse currently has their first Care Cottage opening in Youngsville in the beginning of October and are planning on expanding throughout Warren County.
