Bad check. Conewango Township Police arrested Debra S. Winkler, of Jamestown, N.Y., after she allegedly bounced a $1,900 down payment check for a vehicle she purchased from Shults of Warren in June. According to police, Shults made several attempts over the following months to contact Winkler for payment. Police charged Winkler with one count of bad checks on Friday.
Theft. Conewango Township Police cited Arthur L. Windham, 26, of Youngsville, for retail theft after he allegedly left Walmart wore a pair of boots valued at $69.78 out of the store without paying for them.
Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a one-vehicle accident on US 6 at the intersection with Thatcher Lane. A 2003 Ford Ranger, driven by a 17-year-old male, was stopped at the stop sign on Thatchers Lane facing south and proceeded to turn east on US 6 into the path of a 2001 Subaru Outback, driven by Trey Loomis, 22, North Warren. Police said both drivers were uninjured but Loomis’ vehicle was towed from the scene.
