Evacuation order canceled
The incident commander in a gas fire related evacuation in northern Forest and southern Warren counties has issued a cancellation of that order.
Warren County Public Safety Director Todd Lake said West Hickory volunteer fire department rescinded the evacuation order at about noon Tuesday.
Residents of Warren and Forest counties within a four-mile radius of the Queens area off of Kelly Hill Road, Forest County, were being evacuated due to a fire at what emergency personnel were calling a “very large propane tank.”
Lake said West Hickory and Tionesta volunteer fire departments were at the scene at 10:15 a.m. with other departments on the way.
Shelters for those who were evacuated were set up at the Tidioute and Tionesta fire stations, Lake said.
