May 4 at 7 p.m., and May 5 at 2 p.m.: Warren Players presents “Little Women,” a musical adaptation of the classic Louisa May Alcott novel. Performances at the historic Struthers Library Theatre. May 4: Warren Public Library Annual Book Sale.

May 4: Warren’s Biggest and Best Rummage and Bake Sale, First United Methodist Church; Saturday, Dollar a Bag Day, 9 a.m. to noon.

May 5: Silver Winds Flute Choir presents Sounds of Spring, 4 p.m. First Lutheran Church, 109 W. Third Ave., Warren. Free concert (donations accepted).

May 7: Warren County Commissioners Candidates Forum, 6:30 p.m., Warren County Courthouse.

May 9: Woman’s Club Evening Fashion Show, 5:30 p.m., 310 Market St., Ballroom. 723-5910

May 10: Caring For Life’s 8th Annual Mom Prom, 7 p.m., Conewango Club.

May 11: National Train Day: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sheffield Depot, 75 Center Street, Sheffield.

May 11: Fundraiser BBQ Chicken Dinner, 4 p.m. until gone, Russell United Methodist Church; $10 minimum donation. Meal includes homemade macaroni salad and baked beans, roll, beverages and dessert. Eat-in or takeout is available. Benefits the Ministry Center.

May 12: Warren Philharmonic, A Mother’s Blessing, 4:00 pm, Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Church.

May 12: Mother’s Day Chicken BBQ, Youngsville Vol. Fire Dept., noon to 2 p.m. or until sold out; $10 a meal. Eat in or take out.

May 14: Warren Players’ Annual Meeting to elect Executive Officers will be held at 6 p.m. in the basement of the North Warren Presbyterian Church. All members of the Warren Players are invited to attend.

May 16: Higher Ed Office, Warren State Hospital grounds, from 6 to 7 p.m. Topic: Understanding Dementia and Knowing the 10 Warning Signs of Alzheimer’s Disease. Free workshop, but registration is requested by calling 723-3222 or (814) 456-9200, ext. 1503.

May 17-18: Junktique Sale, Covenant U. M. Church, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday.

May 18-19: Quilters’ Night Out Spring Quilt Show, “ABC’s of Quilting,” Warren Area Elementary Center; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission $4 (no charge for students).
