April 28: Fall YMCA Soccer League registration begins and runs through June 30. Boys and girls ages 3-14.

May 12: Elk Township Historical Society (the former Scandia School) will hold its first Open House of the season, 1-4 p.m. Tour guides will be on hand to answer questions.

May 12: National Train Day celebration: Saturday, 10AM-5PM. Sheffield Depot Heritage Museum, 75 Center Street, Sheffield. A variety of artifacts and models will be on display. May 13: Bryan Eckenrode, musical director and conductor of the Warren Philharmonic, will lead the orchestra in a concert entitled “All About the Accordion” at 4 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, Mother’s Day, at the Holy Redeemer Church.
