April 14: Garland Presbyterian Church Annual first day of fishing chicken bbq; 3915 Route 27, Garland; noon until sold out. Includes 1/2 chicken, mac salad, baked beans, roll, cookies. $10, 1/2 chicken only $6.
April 16, 23, 30: Toddler Time: Mondays, 10:30 a.m., Warren Public Library Children’s Department. Stories, songs, craft, creative play for ages one to four, but all are welcome.
April 17-May 18: YMCA, spring tennis lessons at Beaty Park for ages K-8th grade.
April 18: Spring SADD Conference, 9 a.m., at Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Church.
April 19: Warren YMCA EXPO – teams, kids perform, volunteers recognized, families celebrate and more. Come see all the upgrade that our Capital Campaign provided to our Warren County YMCA. Vendors, food, 3 to 9 p.m. Free to public.
April 19, 26: Build-It-Up, Take-It-Down: Thursdays, 3 to 5 p.m., Warren Public Library Children’s Department. Provides ample STEM opportunities for learning by playing with large wooden blocks, LEGO, Lincoln Logs and other toys that enhance the experience. Geared towards ages three to eight, but all are welcome.
April 21: The Ultimate Tribute to Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band by Hollywood Nights, Saturday, April 21, 8 pm at the Struthers Library Theatre, Warren. For Tickets Call, (814) 489-3110.
April 26 Warren Garden Club will meet (Note Date Change) at 1 PM, at Meyer Hall at St Joseph Church on Pennsylvania Avenue. Don Watts, Master bird bander, will present a program on four popular birds in our area, Robin, Goldfinch, Bluejay and Cardinal.
April 26: The Warren County Chamber of Business & Industry will be holding a public meeting on Thursday, 5:30 pm, at the Hampton Inn & Suites Warren, 3291 Market Street, Warren. This is an opportunity for the public to gain a better understanding of the goals of the organization and its future plans.
April 27: Mock crash, 1 p.m., Youngsville High School.
April 28: Arbor Day, at Gen. Joseph Warren Park.
April 28: Classy Castoffs Sale: Saturday, 9AM-1PM, at the Wilder Museum, 51 Erie Ave., Irvine, PA 16329. Not your typical garage sale! All sale items are donated, and proceeds benefit the Warren County Historical Society. (814)723-1795. www.warrenhistory.org
